Borobudur , Prambanan and Boko Temple Sunset Tour 2 Days / 1 Night

Day 1. ARRIVAL IN YOGYAKARTA – BOROBUDUR TOUR – BACK TO YOGYAKARTA

Visit : Borobudur, Pawon, Mendut, Silversmith, Batik Procressing

Upon arrival in Yogyakarta, meet and greet by our tour guide and directly proceed to the temple.

The trip takes around 45 minutes and will drop the visitor on the parking area before the temple. From the parking area one has to walk around 300 meters to reach the hill where the temple is standing in pride. Starting from the first gallery one see one by one panels with carving of bas relief and some stone sculptures up to the last gallery where the sculptures of the Bodhistwa are plenty in the stupa and outside stupa. An old inventory said the the temple recorded 500 statues in all the area.

From the temple the surrounding and the Merapi volcano give very beautiful panorama. On the way back to the city visit will also be done to smaller Hindu temple such as Candi Pawon and Candi Mendut.

The existence of Buddhist Candi as big as Borobudur side by side with Hindu Candis giving and indication that in the past the people were very knowledgeable that they accept the differentiation and could manage themselves as a true appreciater of the art and culture.

Borobudur itself was a long project construction started from the year of 742 until 824 according to the king charter found at Medang Kemulan village.

Today lunch is also included.

On the way back to Yogyakarta for check-in at your hotel, we will also possible to make stops to observe traditional silvershmith and interesting batik processing.

Day 2. PRAMBANAN & BOKO TEMPLE SUNSET TOUR– TRANSFER OUT

After breakfast at hotel, free time until check-out time at 1100 then we'll drive to Prambanan Temple area for admiring the beautiful hindus temple dated back from 9 century. Afterward the trip continue to Ratu Boko Temple where we will trekking to the scenic spot to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the temple (subject to weather).

Upon completion of the tour we will take you to the airport/train station for your return/onward journey.

Day 1. BOROBUDUR & RICEFIELD TOUR

In the morning we drive to Borobudur for exploring the magnificent Borobudur Temple.

Eventhough there is no written record of who built Borobudur or of its intended purpose. The construction time has been estimated by comparison between carved reliefs on the temple's hidden foot and the inscriptions commonly used in royal charters during the eight and ninth centuries. Borobudur was likely founded around 800 AD. This corresponds to the period between 760–830 AD, the peak of the Sailendra dynasty in central Java, when it was under the influence of the Srivijayan Empire. The construction has been estimated to have taken 75 years and been completed during the reign of Samaratungga in 825.

Afterwards we will also explore the rice fields surrounding the temple. This easy walk explores the route follow old pathways amongst shady bamboo groves and village gardens before entering a wide, open landscape of rice terraces and palms.

Along the way, we will discover tropical plants as your guide explains how the local people make practical use of them. From June to August there will be an opportunity to experience the traditional way of harvesting rice.

Upon completion of the tour we drive back to Yogyakarta.

Day 2. Prambanan and Rice Field Tour

After breakfast at hotel, we drive to Prambanan for exploring Prambanan Temple.

Prambanan Temple Compounds is the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia and one of the largest Hindu temples in south-east Asia. It is characterised by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu temple architecture, and by the 47m high central building inside a large complex of individual temples. The temple complex dates from the 9th century, and is dedicated to Shiva.

Next to the main complex (called Loro Joggrang), the Buddhist Candi Sewu and the temples of Lumbumg, Burah and Asu also are part of the World Heritage Site.

Along the way, discover tropical plants as your guide explains how the local people make practical use of them. From June to August there will be an opportunity to experience the traditional way of harvesting rice.

Day 3. Merapi Volcanoes Tour

Visit : Mt. Merapi Observatory at. Babadan, Borobudur, Pawon, and Mendut temple

Morning depart to Babadan village where you can visit one of observation posts to watch over Mt.Merapi volcano activity. It is the closest place (2,5 km) from its’ crater. Beautiful scenery of plantation and other local agricultural product field on the way. In Babadan you can see the home of seismograph and old bunker used by the volcanologists observe the activity of one of the world’s most active volcano. Take a deep of your breath while enjoying the scenery around. Afterward, drive to Borobudur and visit Borobudur, Pawon and Mendut temple on the way back to Jogja.

Day 4. Temple Tour

At 0800 you'll be picked up by our tour guide to start today's exploration to visit the top 8 (eight) temples in Yogyakarta and surrounding.

Our first stop will be started with visiting the magnificent Borobudur buddhist temple dated back from 800AD, without forgeting to visit Pawon and Mendut Temple to complete your story about Borobudur and Syailendra dynasty.

Afterwards our journey continue to visit Kalasan temple which also known as Candi Kalibening, then head to Sari Temple which is situated only 130 meter from Kalasan temple.

After lunch at local restaurant we still continue our tour to visit Sambisari Temple which was accidentally discovered in July 1966 by a farmer when working on the land, before finishing our trip with visiting Prambanan and Sewu Temple.

After Solo city tour we will drive to about thirty five kilometers east of Solo, on the slope of mount Lawu there lays Sukuh temple. The temple which is known as an erotic shrine of which structure and shape are like no other temple in Java. Explore the temple, then experience another challenge for a hiking trip. Blend of the 14th century's antiquity and fascinating natural surrounding. The two hours hike lasts at Tawangmangu, a local playground with panoramic, refreshing mountain atmosphere and the waterfall.

Day 2. JUNGLE TREKKING TOUR

In the morning at 0600 we drive you to Kaliurang resort around 25 kilometers north of Yogyakarta.

Here we trek up to Kalikuning and Plawangan hill via jungle where many kind of flora and fauna can be found. We will pass Plunyam Dam where movement of cold lava hampered by “Sabo” technique. Finally we will stop at the view point to see the beautiful Yogyakarta city from the hill.

Upon completion we drive back to Yogyakarta.

Day 3. BEACHES TOUR

Visit : Baron, Kukup, Krakal and Parangtritis Beach

Morning at 0800 we leave from Yogyakarta to discover the beaches around the region. First stop will be made at Baron beach which is one of the most famous beaches in the southeastern area of Yogyakarta. It is located on the village of Kemandang about 20 km away from Wonosari. From here we continue to visit Kukup Beach. And then to Krakal Beach which lies about 6 kilometers from Kukup beach. Among all the beaches that stretch along Java beaches, Krakal with its white sandy beach surrounded with mountainous rocky hills is the most beautiful one.

Finally our trip completed by visiting the famous and mythtical beach of Parangtritis. This beach is believed to be the manifestation of the unity among Merapi Mountain, Yogyakarta Kingdom, and Parangtritis Beach. The legend tells that Panembahan Senopati and Sunan Kalijaga once met in this place after completing their meditation. Panembahan Senopati was reminded of being a humble ruler despite his supernatural powers.

The primary attraction of this beach is its natural view. The enchantment of the coastal scenery can be seen from different angles to give you different experiences. When you are standing at the seashore, you will see the wide ocean with the high waves and steeply mountainside on the east side.

Day 4 : CITY & PRAMBANAN TOUR

Sultan Palace : was built in 1756 and located in the heart of Yogyakarta. This place has function as king residence, cultural and tourism object. The place lies alongside from the north to he south with total wide 1,5 kilometers.

Water Castle : was built in 1761 by King Mangkubumi and relief was combination among; Europe, China, Hindhu, Budha and Islam. The place has function as pleasure garden since Sultan HB I-III and the are three swimming pools are: For king, his wife and his children.

Ngasem Bird Market : is located only 400 meters west of Sultan Palace and believed as the oldest bird market in Indonesia was found in 19 century. Market displays is not only many kind of bird but also among pets like: Rabbit, dog, cat, bat, snake etc.

Enjoy the sensational drive to get to the Central Java’s highland, Dieng plateau, literally means ‘abode of gods’ lays at 2.093 meters above sea level with average temperature of fifteen degree celcius. The trip will pass some small, peaceful town of Magelang-the home of military academic, Parakan in Temanggung regency, known as the center producer of fine exported quality tobacco. Green groceries, tea plantation near Wonosobo with view of two soaring sky mountains, of Sindoro and Sumbing as backdrops. Few minutes before reaching Dieng, another twisting but breathtaking drive is offered. Arrive in Dieng find a number of Hindu temples, collectively named after the heroes and heroines of Mahabarata epic blanketed by mountain fog. Move on, only a short drive to Sikidang boiling mud crater. After breakfast at hotel, today we will drive to Borobudur village. The trip takes around 45 minutes and will drop the visitor on the parking area before the temple. From the parking area one has to walk around 300 meters to reach the hill where the temple is standing in pride.

Starting from the first gallery one see one by one panels with carving of bas relief and some stone sculptures up to the last gallery where the sculptures of the Bodhistwa are plenty in the stupa and outside stupa. An old inventory said the the temple recorded 500 statues in all the area.

From the temple the surrounding and the Merapi volcano give very beautiful panorama. On the way back to the city visit will also be done to smaller Hindu temple such as Candi Pawon and Candi Mendut.

Borobudur itself was a long project construction started from the year of 742 until 824 according to the king charter found at Medang Kemulan village.

Today lunch is also included.

D4. Solo City Tour – Sukuh Erotic Temple + Tawangmangu Waterfall – Transfer to Yogyakarta
After breakfast at hotel, check-out and start Solo City Tour visiting :
Mangkunegaran Palace, Triwindu Antique Market & Radya Pustaka Museum.
Next transfer to Sukuh “Erotic” Hindus Temple which was built on 1437AD some years after Majapahit Kingdom collapsed. The temple has a trapezium shape with similar shape as the Inca temple in Mexico, South America. There are also many erotic reliefs however; they carry on the value of sexual education in a primitive manner.
From there we visit Tawangmangu to enjoy a beautiful Grojogan Sewu Waterfall, an 81m high of waterfall not so far from the temple.
Afterwards return transfer to Yogyakarta for overnight with dinner en route.

Day 1. City Tour

Upon arrival in Yogyakarta, meet and greet by our tour guide then together we start our City Tour visiting: Sultan Palace, Water Castle, Bird Market, Silversmith, Batik Processing.

Upon completion of the tour we drive to hotel for check-in and overnight.

Day 2. Borobudur & Prambanan Tour

Visit : Borobudur, Pawon, Mendut, Silversmith, Batik Processing

After breakfast you are going to participate to the well – known Borobudur temple. This Borobudur has perhaps been built during the last end of the seventh century or at the beginning of the eighth century. The summit is the big Stupa, that is located 40 meters above the ground. The walls of the Borobudur are engraved in the shape of halve-sprung-up pictures and spread out over the whole length of 5 kilometres.

After this program you are going to visit the Prambanan hindus temple – complex. Prambanan temple is the biggest Hindu temple in Indonesia. From the total amount of 244 temples, at present there are only several temples that have been renovated and the remainder are still in the shape of ruins. In the year of 1930 the renovation activities have been started again and until now still being continued. End of services.

Dieng Plateau Sunrise Trekking, Yogyakarta City and Prambanan Temple Tour in 3 Days / 2 Night

Day 1. Yogyakarta - Dieng Plateau

Upon arrival in Yogyakarta, meet and greet by our tour guide then drive to Dieng Plateau via Temanggung and Wonosobo. Once we arrive in Dieng the rest afternoon will be yours.

Take a little stroll around village, find lonely temple structure or just sit at the hotel balcony sipping smoked hot tea or coffee. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2. Dieng Plateau Sunrise Trekking-Yogyakarta

Very early morning next day trekking up to the highest hill in Dieng plateau area (2.600 ASL).

Find for yourself a sensation of being on the misty hilltop waiting for the sun rising on the east horizon. You won’t think of more appropriate word to name this rare experience.

And from there we return back to Yogyakarta for overnight.

Day 3. City & Prambanan Tour

After breakfast at hotel, we start our City Tour visiting: Sultan Palace, Water Castle, Bird Market, Silversmith, Batik Processing.

Upon completion of the tour we drive to Prambanan for exploring Prambanan Temple with quick stops at Kalasan and Sambisari Temple en route.

Next to the main complex (called Loro Joggrang), the Buddhist Candi Sewu and the temples of Lumbumg, Burah and Asu also are part of the World Heritage Site.

Upon completion of the tour we will take you to airport/train station for your return/onward journey. End of services.
